El Hierro ist die westlichste und südlichste der Kanarischen Inseln (Spanien). Gehört zur Provinz Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Die Hauptstadt ist Valverde, der Gemeinde, wo der Hafen liegt, Einsatz und dem Flughafen Insel. Neben Valverde, El Hierro hat zwei Gemeinden: Frontera und El Pinar.
