La Palma, whose historic name is San Miguel de La Palma is an island belonging to the Atlantic Ocean archipelago of the Canary Islands (Spain). Attached and belonging to the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, its capital is Santa Cruz de La Palma, and the most populous municipality is the island of Los Llanos.
